It’s September and the temperatures are cooler so now it’s the perfect time to score your PBT. The Teal Ribbon Run (for Ovarian Cancer Awareness), September 22, is your best opportunity: the course is flat, (26 feet change in height) and the last ¼ mile is downhill! Last year numerous new and veteran runners indicated they scored their PBT. Timing will be provided by Leone Timing. All runners can enjoy a slice of pizza or draft beer at race end. Runners of all levels are already registered. A majority of runners for this race are women. Ovarian Cancer awareness is an important reason to run. All the pieces are in place the only piece missing is you.

Why does your race ROCK? The Comeback Trail is a national event celebrating the physical, mental, and spiritual journey of stroke recovery. Every step you take and every dollar you raise for the Comeback Trail will provide hope after stroke to the seven million stroke survivors in the United States. Join us, as we raise awareness and funds to support the ongoing needs of the stroke community. This event is unique because it is being organized and lead by a local stroke survivor who, upon recovery, made it her mission to support the local survivor community. Learn more at www.triumphoverstrokecny.org. On average, every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. has a stroke and about 800,000 people will be affected each year. For 7 million stroke survivors throughout the United States, receiving the appropriate education and care is essential to their recovery. The Comeback Trail is open to both walkers and runners. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness in their community. Team up with family, friends, co-workers, and loved ones to support stroke survivors and their circle of care.
